Video: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Go Through Drop Test

Apart from great technical
specifications, one of the things most
people consider when buying a
smartphone is durability– ability to
withstand accidental physical abuses. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus went
on sale officially today in some parts of
the world and surprisingly, we're
seeing drop tests already. A Youtube
user named PhoneBuff uploaded a
video showing how strong the
phones are.

As predicted by a number of people,
the iPhone 6 appears to be able to
withstand the stress better than
iPhone 6 Plus although both phones
ended up with damaged screen.

iPhone 6 survived the back drop. Also
when dropped on it's side, it survived
with a few scratches, however, the
screen got damaged when dropped
face down. That's to be expected
though.

iPhone 6 Plus on the other hand
ended with with just a scratch when
dropped on it's back but the screen
shattered during the side drop.

Below is the video:

If you know you've got 'slippery
fingers' , drop things all the time and
you're planning to buying iPhone 6
Plus, perhaps going for iPhone 6 is a
better idea judging by the video.

ATM Machine Dispensing Free Cash

Super rich? Hugo Ellis and his girlfriend Celeste Powell scooped £500 by using the Betfair machine One man shrieks in delight and says, 'This is giving out money,' while another man cannot believe his eyes as he stares at a crisp £50 note which he has just received for free. One beaming woman tries to persuade a disbelieving passer-by what is happening and says: 'Trust me, I just done it and I got £80.'
That's unusual: One man looks surprised as he makes a transaction from the super rich ATM machine Two men hug as they celebrate their extra cash while another man grabs his cash adoringly and kisses the screen in gratitude. Hugo Ellis and his girlfriend Celeste Powell, students at Goldsmiths University who have just moved to London from Devon, were handed £500 by the machine. Hugo said: 'We were just in MacDonald’s having a cup of tea, and then on the walk home we stopped at the Super Rich ATM machine to get some cash.
Overjoyed: Two men hug after they receive free cash from the mysterious machine 'I put my card in and took out £40, we were about to leave when the machine beeped again and more money came out! I put the money straight in my pocket and waited until we got home to count it, that was when we realised it was £500! 'We’ve just moved to London as students and we definitely weren’t expecting anything like this to happen, my girlfriend nearly cried!’ News of the generous cash machine spread on social media and long queues of people started forming outside the Super Rich cash machine as people looked to get in on the free cash. Twitter user Kate Lennon tweeted: 'Cash machine giving out free cash in #tooting! " #getherenow #ABBA Money money money!' The ATM provider super rich cash machine was later claimed on Twitter by Betfair.

Can this ever happen here in Nigeria ?

Just in time for the launch of theiPhone 6, engineers have created ascratch-proof case.

Engineers have figured out how to
mass produce and shape metallic
glass, and are using it to create the
toughest smartphone case yet.

Researchers at Yale University in the
US have created a thin, lightweight smartphone case that's harder than
steel but as easy to shape as plastic.
The case is made from bulk metallic
glass (BMG) - a class of strong but
flexible materials that have been
around for years but, until recently,
engineers have struggled to find a way to shape them into useful
structures.

BMGs, or amorphous metals, are
alloys that are made up of a
combination of metals, but don't
have an orderly metallic atomic
structure in their solid state. Unlike
normal metals, which crytallise when they're cooled below melting point,
BMGs are cooled so fast that the
liquid freezes without crystallising,
essentially "locking in" a glassy state.
This gives them a range of awesome
properties, such as superior strength and a plastic-like flexibility.

Now Jan Shroers, a mechanical
engineer and material scientist from
Yale, has developed a new way of
printing supercool metals into sheets,
allowing them to be easily moulded
into different shapes with very little energy input - something Shroers
has called "thermoplastic forming".

Instead of melting down BMGs and
trying to force them into a mould, as
had previously been attempted,
Shroers takes the sheets and uses
gas pressure to deform them into the
correct shape. While Shroers has used this new technique to turn
BMGs into speciality production items
such as watch components and
sensors, he's now set his sights on
very shiny smartphone cases.

"It's obvious. The important
properties in a cell phone case are
hardness and weight," said Shroers. "This material is 50 times harder
than plastic, nearly 10 times
harder than aluminum and almost
three times the hardness of steel."

The case also requires little energy to
produce and is pretty to look at. But
importantly, because it's harder than
normal metals, it can't be scratched
by keys or other items rattling
around in your bag.

Of course, the BMG material won't
cover your iPhone screen, but the lip
on the case will help take the force
when you drop it face-down

Shroers is now hoping to scale up
the process and have the
smartphone cases on the market
within the next couple of years.
Hopefully that's soon enough to stop
you shattering your next iPhone.

Iphone 6 Finally Sold To Fans Around The World

After days of sleeping rough
outside flagship stores, eager
Apple fans have finally got their
hands on the iPhone 6 and iPhone
6 Plus.

Where are the women? People
queue outside an Apple shop in
London this morning. Demand is so
high that people have been selling
their place in queues for
thousands, and Apple has been limiting customers to two phones
each

Sam Sheikh, 27, based in east
London said he'd been waiting
there for more than three days to
bag his gold coloured iPhone 6
Plus, and was the first customer in
the UK to get his phone. Standing at the front door of the
shop he said: 'I'm very excited. I
came last week and started
queuing with my friends.

Last time this happened,
unfortunately I couldn't get the
phone I wanted. So this time I
decided I had to get it...I didn't
want to lose out.'
Security staff kept people inside huge festival style barriers that
stretched the entire length of
Covent Garden up to the Royal
Opera House entrance - some 320
metres.

Mr Sheikh's friend Jameel Ahmed, 26, from Harrow, added that he's
excited to test out his new phone's
features.

Best Way To Stop Your Android From Hanging

One of those things I hate about android is them running at low speed, lagging or hanging or even not serving their purposes.
Why will an android device built to ease our stress and save time now turn to a time waster? Have you ever run a game or an application and it keeps lagging or what we usually call hanging? You android of 512 RAM can’t run a simple ‘temple run’ game, its annoying. Recently, I wrote an article on ways to Optimize your android speed. These articles still preach almost the same thing but am showing a more effective way of doing it.Am about to introduce you to an android app called SEEDER in the market. With this App you can Reduce lags on your android Smartphone upto 90%,Lags Reduces and improving performance of scrolling, gaming and using any Heavy Apps. This Application is developed by XDA member lambgx02.

A Drone Made By A Nigerian [VIDEO]

This is the video of a drone that was made by a Nigerian. the engine was gotten from a lawn mower and its gasoline fueled as you know.... its still in the testing phase but at this point, i can say its a success considering that it has been flown to Benin city from warri, delta state and back with the aid of a newly installed camera. the glasses he wears during this testing phase is kind of like a Google glass. it functions as the screen through which the camera feed is seen. don't ask me how.... i don't know how he did it all. programming was a pain but then it turned out successful..... watch and enjoy.... just follow the link below....
